Recent News - 11 Year Old Girl Dies From Diabetes while parents pray

So up in Wisconsin, an 11 year old girl has died after her parents refused to have her treated for diabetes. Instead, they prayed over her. Yet, after a month-long battle the girl lost her battle. The parents may be arrested.

There's a twist. The parents are not afilliated with any church.

Many would read this story and ask, "How could God let this happen?" or "Why didn't God answer they're prayers?"

What are your thoughts on this?

Welcome to the Everyday Christian Blog!!

I'd like to welcome everyone...and I mean everyone... to the Everyday Christian Blog.

Allow me to begin by stating that this blog is NOT about me. It's about arming Christians with the knowledge and experience necessary to win souls for Christ.

I've been against blogging for quite some time. I've never blogged, and I never wanted to be a blogger. But then I started thinking that this would be an excellent way for folks to keep Jesus on their mind every day and not just on Sundays during worship service.

I'm in sales, and networking is everything. It's important to build a network and nurture sales opportunities by continuing to grow your network. Being a Christian is similar. We were called by Christ in Mathew 28:16-20 in the Great Commission to make disciples of men from all nations. Hey, this is 2008 and blogging is the way we do things these days!

My goal in starting this blog is as follows:
1) To bring folks to Christ as commanded in Mathew 28:16-20.
2) To create a forum for a community to discuss how God has worked in our lives in order to win souls for Him.
3) To weave the Word of God into our daily lives.
4) To help folks understand the Bible's message and how we are to live according to its direction.
5) To create a nurturing environment for those who are not believers such that they may see the light of Christ through our discussions.

It makes no difference if you've known Jesus since you were a child, or do not believe that Christ died for our salvation. You are welcome to join us and participate in a discussion about Him.

A few ground rules are probably appropriate.

1) Respond to each other's posts in a manner that honors God.
2) Keep the message clean. If you cuss (or "swear" for my Yankee brothers), you will be removed from the group. Zero tolerance...no 2nd chances.
3) Where possible, do the research to support your position with Scripture (it will be an exercise well worth the effort).
4) In your first response, provide a very brief snapshot of your faith including your demonination and church afilliation.
5) Pray for each other, and include any prayer requests or praises you might have.

Thank you for joining us! Now let's have some fun by honoring God with this blog!

In His Grip,

Rich
